Town and Country Plumbing

After spending many years working in his fathers plumbing company, in Modesto CA, Gary R. Tanner moved to the North San Diego County area in 1967.

He worked locally as a plumber for a few companies, as a plumbing inspector for the City of San Diego and as a building inspector for the County of San Diego. In 1970 he took and passed the California state contractor’s exam and opened his own business. After being involved in countless new construction projects, including large apartment developments, housing tracts and commercial buildings, the business has developed over the years into an exclusively repair, service business, with a large clientele of regular customers.


For the most part, Mr. Tanner takes all incoming calls personally, while wife Daisy manages the administrative duties of the business. Sons, Lucky and Abel working on and managing the jobs in the field make this a truly family operated business. Sixty to seventy percent of all work is repeat business and referrals.
